Our Story
Whenever people asked what I wanted to do in the future, my answer was always the same —
“I want to open my own pet store.”
Then came the next question:
“So why are you working at a law firm?”
I’d laugh and say, “Because I might go to law school someday.”
But whenever they followed up — “So, which is it — law school or the pet store?” —
I’d go quiet.
Eventually, I realized that if your heart is pointing one way, you can’t keep walking in the opposite direction.
So last year, I finally took the leap — and decided to build a life that truly makes me happy.
A Journey Across the U.S.
From September 2024 to November 2024, I set out on a cross-country solo female road trip with my two dogs - Lex&Levie.
We explored small towns, beaches, mountains — and somewhere between the long drives and quiet mornings, I finally had time to think.
It hit me then: if my goal is to build a life surrounded by pets, community, and joy,
every step I take should move me closer to that.
Falling in Love with Pet Culture
I adopted my first dog in 2021, and that’s when everything changed.
The moment I stepped into the world of pet products, I was hooked.
The “Shop Local” culture in the U.S. runs deep — filled with passion, creativity, and heart.
I found myself visiting every small pet boutique I could find, just to see what made each one special.
Over time, I’ve visited more than 100 pet stores across the country — and met so many inspiring founders and small business owners who pour their love into what they do.
One story I’ll never forget: an Italian classmate once experimented with his dad’s homemade dog-treat recipes during college.
Two years later, he launched his own brand.
When we crossed paths again in Omaha last year, he told me his products were now sold in over hundreds stores nationwide.
That moment filled me with pride — and a quiet certainty that I was on the right path.
Lessons, Inspiration, and a Clear Direction
Through those years, I learned so much — about design, storytelling, sourcing, and what it means to build something with purpose.
My love for discovering new pet products only grew stronger.
If you’ve seen my social media, you already know how much I enjoy sharing healthy treats, new brands, and honest reviews.
Sometimes, brands even reached out to feature Lex and Levie in their campaigns —
and every time, it reminded me how powerful genuine connection can be.
Looking back, every experience — from running a tiny online shop in high school to years spent exploring the pet world —
became the foundation for what I’m creating now.
The Birth of Lex & Levie
After years of dreaming, learning, and planning, I decided to bring it all to life —
and that’s how Lex & Levie Pet Supplies was born.
We started as an community and store, collaborating with independent brands and local retailers across the U.S. — including our pop-up events that make premium pet products more accessible.
Now, we’re preparing to open our first physical store in Pittsburgh, a space designed to bring pet parents together and celebrate the joy of everyday life with dogs.
What Makes Us Different
Lex & Levie isn’t just a pet store — it’s a space built around connection.
Between pets and people.
Between small brands and the communities that believe in them.
Every item we carry is something we’ve personally tried, tested, and loved.
Every story we share comes from real experiences —
from the road trips, the long nights of planning, and the little moments with Lex and Levie that started it all.
Looking Ahead
Our grand opening was set for February 28,
and we can’t wait to welcome you into our world —
a place filled with premium treats, wagging tails, and warm community spirit.
For me, there’s nothing better than spending every day surrounded by dogs,
good food, and good people.
